Understanding Brierley Hill: A Creative Community Response

Understanding Brierley Hill: A Creative Community Response is a collection of community responses gathered during the Brierley Hillness project in 2011.

It features original creative writing, audio transcripts of oral history, photographs and artwork. We also present statistics gathered through survey work, and the opinions of people who have associations with the town.

You can browse the contents of the publication in the Creative Community Responses pages of this site, or download the publication. Understanding Brierley Hill A Creative Community Response(PDF version) TEXT ONLY VERSION Understanding Brierley Hill (Word).

This booklet has been submitted to Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council’s Planning Team as part of the public consultation on the new Urban Design Supplementary Planning Document for the new Brierley Hill Town Centre.

Over 360 local people have contributed to our understanding of Brierley Hillness.

Legacy

As of October 2011, the Brierley Hillness community mural has moved to a permanent home in Brierley Hill Library.

A photo book to accompany the mural was provided by Dudley-based Foto Fairy in support of the project. http://www.fotofairy.co.uk
